Duskcast

Android TV · Google TV · Mac · iPhone and iPad soon

Your TV, calmly organized.

Duskcast is a player for the TV services you already subscribe to. It plays your M3U playlist or Xtream login with a full guide, favorites and catch-up on every TV you own, set up from your phone so you never type on a remote.

Duskcast doesn't sell or include any channels or content. Early access: sign-ups are by invitation for now.

Everything in its place

The small things that make live TV feel effortless.

Set up from your phone

Add an M3U link or Xtream login from your provider on this site. It's on your TV a moment later.

Sign in with a code

Scan a QR code on the TV. No passwords on a remote.

A real TV guide

A full grid of what's on, by playlist, category or your own lists, with now and next everywhere.

Catch-up

Play earlier programmes on channels your provider keeps an archive for.

Favorites everywhere

Star a channel once and it's waiting on every TV you pair, in your order.

Your own lineup

Build lists from channels across your playlists, in your order, with your names.

Less clutter

Hide the categories you never watch from browse, the guide and search.

Straight answers

When a channel won't play, Duskcast says why: the provider refused it, it moved, or the server is down.

Watch together

Start a watch party with your group: everyone's TV follows the channel, and reactions float up on every screen.

Up and running in three steps

  1. 1

    Install the app

Get Duskcast on your Android TV, Google TV or Mac.

  2. 2

    Scan to sign in

Open the app and scan the code with your phone.

  3. 3

    Add your playlist

Paste the link or login your TV provider gave you. That's it.

A player, not a provider

Duskcast organizes what you already have. It doesn't supply it.

  • No content included. Duskcast comes with no channels, streams or playlists. You add sources you have the right to watch.
  • Your login stays yours. Playlists that carry a provider login stay private to your account. Groups share lists and watch parties, not logins.
  • Streams go straight to your device. Video never passes through Duskcast's servers.
  • Encrypted and minimal. Playlist addresses and logins are encrypted at rest. No email address, no ads, no tracking.
  • In your control. Recover your account with a code you keep, and delete it, with everything in it, any time.

Free, with Plus for more

The player, guide, favorites, catch-up and joining a group's watch parties are free on up to 2 TVs. Plus adds custom lists, creating groups, hosting watch parties and up to 10 TVs. Plus isn't on sale yet; prices and terms will be shown here before it is. See the roadmap →

Questions

Does Duskcast come with channels?

No. Duskcast is only a player. It doesn't sell, include or recommend any channels, streams or playlists. You add the M3U link or Xtream login from a TV service you already subscribe to.

What kinds of playlists does it play?

M3U and M3U8 playlist links, and Xtream logins (a server address, username and password). The TV guide comes from your provider: for M3U playlists, the XMLTV guide link in the playlist or one you add; for Xtream logins, automatically. Catch-up works on channels your provider keeps an archive for.

Which devices does it run on?

Android TV and Google TV (including Chromecast with Google TV), and Macs with Apple silicon on macOS 14 or later. iPhone and iPad are next. Your playlists, favorites and lists sync between all of them.

How do I install it on Google TV or Android TV?

Duskcast isn't in the Google Play Store yet. Install the free Downloader app on your TV, enter the address shown on the download page, and the TV app installs and keeps itself up to date.

Do my streams go through Duskcast's servers?

Never. Video streams straight from your provider to your TV or Mac. Duskcast's servers keep only your account, your encrypted playlist details, favorites, lists and groups. See privacy.

Is it free?

Yes. The player, guide, favorites and catch-up are free on up to 2 TVs. Plus, for custom lists, groups, hosting watch parties and up to 10 TVs, isn't on sale yet.
